Here are the first mods of (hopefully) many: Eyebrows and a rear vortex generator from a 2005 WRX STI. I'm going for a Rally Bucky look.
The vortex generator is kinda hard to see in the pictures. I wanted it to be a subtle mod, so I had it painted to match the body. Perhaps it is too subtle?? It stands out much more in person.

I know that the "vortex generator" is a personal choice but for me.... I would never do that to any Mercedes.
Bottom line: If YOU like it, enjoy it

Haha, thanks. Yeah, I know it is a little weird, but I am trying to go for a really aggressive rally look with this car and what better way to say rally than a Vortex Generator pulled from one of the most popular rally cars?

i've seen those on a wrx on the highway, but i don't think i've ever seen those on an actual rally car... though i admittedly haven't been keeping up with it for the past couple of years.
good to see progress on it, i think you should drop it soon

AFAIK, it came "first" on the Evo 9/10 MR. Or atleast, that was the car that really brought it into popularity.
I do plan on dropping it on the H&R Sport kit (1.5"F/1.3"R) but I can not get a straight answer from Bilstein regarding Sport Shocks for my specific application. The M104 300ce does not exist in their online guide and when I called today the guy pretty much told me if it isn't there to bugger off. So, now I begin the process of finding out what shock will fit my specific application and not void my warranty in the process. Also, I'm afraid of excessive negative camber coming from this drop so I have to factor in the RDMtek front Adjustable Strut towers / Shortened Rear LCAs as well, which will push me well beyond my current budget.
To round out the expenses I can't afford will be a new set of rims. I'm thinking O.Z Ultraleggera or O.Z Chrono HT. Both are very light and seem to be the right size (17x8 35et 5x112 and backspacing of 5.94 and 5.90 respectively), but I may be wrong. Always open to advice/suggestions. And I realize I will not be able to pull off either without some kittage and maybe a BBK, but no harm in having them ahead of time, right?

Got them on ebay for about 35$ + S/H from England about 4 years ago. Sold them to a member here about 2 years ago and then bought them back from him last year.
Not sure where you can find them again but carshine.au has a set for 86AUD.

German Taxi (1987 300E)
I'm Back!
Two years ago, I joined this forum while I was dealing with every problem I had with my 1988 260E (which I sold after owning a year).
I drove a Volvo 850 for two years before it was stolen. I rode the city bus (if you are ever in San Diego, you will know that the city bus system can be rather unreliable, but not as unreliable as my 260E was), and missed the W124...so I bought another one yesterday. Everyone, meet Bruno (the white car). Needs new brake pads in the back, and a radio, but I hope to have this car for a long, long time. At least until I get a Hybrid LOL.
