dual duct airbox, which cars and years ?
Hello
I have an M104 R129, i was wondering if anyone knows what years the M104 came with the dual duct airbox, if memory serves me right, it was on the AMG engines
It would sort of be similar to the pic attached except it would be for the M104

That's a pic of my old AMG box. It came on a grey market Euro '85 AMG West 300E. I've never seen one like it since I sold it to Rik. The right side intake needed a duct to the front as it was pulling warm engine bay air.

Have plenty of pictures of the different dual intake airbox's. These were items built by AMG, but they were not used on all AMG cars. The dual intake airbox for the M104 was a item in the EPC, but it has been NLA for a long time. The M103 dual intake airbox was never in the EPC as far as I can tell.
Oh, the m103 airbox I have is on Ebay if anyone wants it.

THANK YOU!
any more pics and i would be eternally grateful
now, I am currently awaiting the delivery of a BMC CDA, if i cant get my hands on this style airbox would it be viable to purchase another BMC CDA airfilter and run them on each side of the engine bay connected by a Y-pipe at the throttle body

I think your chasing phantoms though, thats a lot of work for virtually no gain on a stock M104 motor. The whole Y pipe setup might look strange, given the placement of the TB.
As for more photos, I know that there are more in my collection, just don't know where they are at, but I will look.

hahahaha....oh well, guess we will have to go custom, the thing is, an eaton M62 supercharger is in the works...just working on the breathing and exiting side for now, already waiting on the delivery of a brabus quad tip exhaust system. Was thinking of ceramic coated aluminum pipes with a custom Y-pipe with a BMC CDA airfilter on each side...any opinions on that?

I am very late to this party but maybe someone has some info. I am looking into turbo charging or supercharging my 94 E320. I am leaning towards supercharging using an Eaton M90, which I already have for a few reasons. Simplicity, cost, and immediate power, no turbo lag, no exahust modification, no oil plumbing. Any pictures or can anyone point me in a direction that has some resources? Thanks
