1990 Mercedes 300E Check Engine light.
Check engine light is on on my mercedes 300e 3.0l so I checked the codes on The black box with bunch of holes. I holded the button pressed on it for about 3 sec and the small red light blinked 11 times so I suspect it is the air injection.I want to fix the problem myself at home.The check engine light really annoys me so please advise on how to solve the problem and what to check which could bring the light on.I tried to reset the ce light but it keeps coming on after the car gets warm at its operating temp.

It changes all the time
I don't have my code book here so I don't know what 11 blinks are for. If you have already done the research, and it is in fact air injection, I suspect a broken vacuum control line for air injection. Carefully check all your vacuum lines.
