Hello:
The wagon is NOT an AMG. It is a Kicherer.
What happened was the original owner asked AMG to put an 120 in a kombi and they basically showed him the door.
Not deterred he approached Kicherer and asked them. Kicherer gave the job to 2 former AMG employees who just left Affalterbach and wanted to male a name for themselves.
I have had a few conversations with both the long time owner and Kicherer about the car who filled me in on the details.
There have been a few 120 engined T's made, none as nice as the one pictured IMHO.
120 engined 036's seem almost common by comparision. Brabus, Vaeth, Lorinser and a few others seemed to have stuffed the 12 in various 124 E cars.
