w124 Body Parts Interchangablity ??

My fellow forum members; Does anyone know "For Sure" if the Hood and Trunk Lid from a 1995 E320 sedan is a direct fit/bolt on to a 1990 300E sedan; with No modifications needed?? Is it basically "plug and play" ???? THANKS in advance for ALL Help .......Kevin

Well, the hood needs the facelift headlights to fit properly. And the facelift moldings under the headlights, or you will get a few tight spots on the hood along the headlight corners and corner of the moldings.. Other than that it is plug and play..

Remember the hose to the window washers also, it can be tricky..

I've done this swap on my car. You need the hood and headlights. Besides paint, it's a plug and play.

Oh, on another note:

I prefer the boxiness of the pre facelift models. My uncle had done the swap when the car wasn't mine. I think they look more aggressive.
