S124 antenna removal
I want to remove the antenna from my '88 300TE (wagon).
Can anyone confirm the steps to remove it?
My confusion is the gaskets/mast through the 1/4 panel.
It almost seems that I need to first remove the mast, then the nut, then perhaps the gaskets will seperate allowing removal.
I've never had a car require removing the mast first, so it seems wrong IME. Also the old antenna is dead, so raising the mast is going to be a chore. Any short cuts other than open the case & manually wind it up?
