Hi all, im thinking of buying a 300te, its a japanese import and the seller says its a 1996 model, the vin number is WDB1240902F149808

could someone confirm this for me, as i tried the russian vin decoder and it looks like its still not working.

Very Late registration of TE Model??

Have a look here :

My 320 TE is 1993 Registered..

According to this they were only made up to 1991

Coupes and wagons were made through 96. I think the cabrios were made through 97.

You can't go by what's posted on some of the Japanese cars. I have been informed that sometimes it carries the year it was first registered in Japan. I've seen a 500e (w124) being listed as a 1999, 2002, doesn't make sense sometimes.
