My 23 year old car offers only a few noises when driving down the road. And you know what the main noise is ? It's the leather bending and moving as I pass over a bump. The other noise is the slightly deepend exhaust note. No door noises, no rattles, no bangs - silence !!!!! 23 years old - how many car manufacturer's can claim that their vehicle after 23 years and 214,000 kms would go as well and as silently as the day it came off the production line ? Very damn few !
Ha! Mine doesn't have a leather interior, so no sounds at all! :P

300ce w124
imo get the one that is better for you, i belive a w124 is a w124, regardless the engine (excluded 500e of course ) they were all strong built and quality, look for price and milages, the lowest on both the better.
but be carefull the cheap ones are expensive in the same time. you can get a 93 coupe with some problems, that you find on the 89 coupe as well cars are cars they tend to brake, nothing is made forever, but everything can be fixed.good luck , and you know best wich one sutes you .
which ever you will get though you will be a w124 guy. so welcome

I don't know anything about the "4matic" except that they were all wheel drive and automatic. Is this not a preferred option?

94 Wagon and 94 Cabriolet
Achilles Heel.

Not a great solution. My logic for dismissing it was that...if it failed it was going to cost alot. And if THAT REPAIR failed 3 years later, no one would stand behind it, it is an uncommon system. I never had trouble other than sensors now and then, but always feared spending the car's value on a single repair, twice in 2-7 years.

Plus, with the m103 and extra weight of that system, the car was barely faster than a moped. GREAT car, led to 2 current wagons, a 94 and 95. Which as you know from my comments...are my preferred years.
