The best or nothing
Hi, great coupe! I like your project. I have a question, was the sound insulation worth installing?

I have 92 300ce as well...already lowered and got 17" monoblock. Need some paint since clear coat is pealing off. Where did you get yours painted? How much did it cost if you dont mind me asking?

Armadillo,
not sure, as I did not drive the car much before the "restoration".
But, it did reduce the noises from the trunk area, as in the slushing of the tank and tire noise from the rear. At least from what I can tell. If I had not taken the interior apart, I would not do it due cost and effort. Weight was not a factor for me.

awidiarto,
I had a body guy who used to come to my restaurant do it for $1,900 at a rented booth. He did a good job, not a $10,000 job but I am happy. He has since moved out of state.
