bought APX struts from Ebay

For anyone that's considering APX shocks:

I bought a set of front and rear shocks and struts from Ebay. They were advertised as APX. I replaced the oem on my 95 e320. With the new shocks, the rears were extremely loose. Every bump the car it while cornering, seemed like the car was going off the road. At first, I thought sway bar links were detached. I checked and the were fine. Last weekend, I put back the oem rear shocks. The car drives sooo much better with the old ones with 130k miles. I did keep the fronts as my oem was leaking. The fronts seem to be working OK, car stays in control.

Just wanted to share my experience.

Wali, did you happen to return the rears? Maybe they were simply defective. It happens unfortunately.

You seem to believe the fronts are acceptable, is that true?

If you have a W124 the APX part excludes rear ride control. If you have the S124 Station Wagon it excludes 4matic. What part number is stamped on the rears you received? You could have received the wrong part. Let me know.
