I've still got the tail lights. Dysphoria, you aske first so I'll give you 24 hour dibs over funkgab. Do you want the assemblies with the LED setup, or with the standard bulb holders for a more oem look?

If he doesn't want them funkgab, I'll absolutely sell just the LED boards. They're just sitting in my closet. We'll talk $$ if it comes to it. Thanks!

thanks, let me know.. i already have headlights and inner housing.. do the led boards work with the stock connector? (actually i swapped to 6 pin)

my tailights are a little complicated (their slightly tinted and i was running stealthbulbs for the turn signals)

also in the future i was planning to mod the reverse into a bright white like a modern cts or so.

is it possible to only make the brake and regular lights led?
(probably with some splicing/soldering perhaps?)

Funkgab, the LED portion uses a 6-pin connector, so you will be fine. The factory 7-pin connector on US cars (driver side only) will not fit, so if you've swapped over already, that's great! You will, however, need to swap around the pins in their sockets. You can clearly see which wires go to each light panel on the board, so you'll just need a multimeter to check the pins on your car for each bulb (reverse, running, signal, brake, ground, inner fog). The turn sinal and reverse lights are still regular bulbs, so you should be able to do your cts setup just the same.

The LEDs are still available if you want them. I'm not dismantling anything, I have just gotten lucky at the local junkyards when it comes to the lights. I actually hit 7 different yards since Sunday!

Haha sweet they have any whole cars there?
Ill take some cellphone pics later of my lights and see if they match up with the boards.. I didn't end up buying the car afterall.. Also all usa w124s use the same models right? Although I see lots of japan imports aparently

Yeah they have whole cars. Tons of them. Feel free to shoot me pics, but I can already assure you they will fit. All w124 tail lights (besides the wagons, obviously) are interchangeable.

i meant whole cars as in driveable.. :P i've been looking for another w124 (well a decent cheap one cause sometimes i heard the junkyards have some stuff), (ce.e420,320)
but i know a cheap benz isn't the way to go but i miss it so much and im carless so @_@

not really a fan of the sedan anymore though.. well maybe besides the 500/e420/400

(havn't driven a 3.2 104 yet or a ce yet)

they have german serial # as posted above so i was worried, i bought the lights from 2phast, and swapped out the connectors.. his had some weird 4 or 5 pin (i think? i don't remember) but i swapped the connectors out cause they didn't fit my 87 300e ones

sorry about image size and quality.. i have no idea how to edit them as i uploaded em from my phone to tinypic

~final edit.. oh and im sure i swapped out the reflectors, you know the chrome thing because the facelift ones looked weird with my bulbs

Funkgab, the part you posted pictures of is completely removed with the LED setup and replaced with the board you can see here:

So yes, it will work fine for ya.

sounds great, so let me get this straight, i know my lights are facelift, but the light housing itself i think is a prefacelift.. isn't the led one hooked up to a facelift housing or did you remove it completely and insert the board in?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKkA2MFAzXs

they light up like this right? since its not using the cheesy aftermarket modern LED wannabe things like this

or do they still kind of light up like that? where it has individual tails?

honestly i just wanted something maybe a little brighter/quicker.. my lights already look pretty good since their smoked lightly but always push the limit :P

btw how much do you want anyways? ill see how much i can budget it out from my car purchase

The LED replace EVERYTHING except the lens itself. It will work with either face lifted or pre-face lifted lenses.

As for the lighting, it really depends on how you wire it up. There weren't instructions with them when I bought them so I kinda winged it. I had it in a way where the center lights (triangle like ones) were running lights and the rest of the bottom row lit up when I brake.

I'm not sure I understand the question: How does it light up? Red? With electricity? Sorry, things get lost in translation on the Internet sometimes.

Price for just the LED portion? I'd say $65+ shipping sounds fair.

sounds good.. you mind holding em for a little? i just picked up another w124 so i'm trying to budget everything out first.. well you can sell them if you want..

by how they light up i meant in my earlier posts.. are they like individual leds, or just a couple? or how does it light up? which example does it look like with the regular covers on

Hi Riv,

Are all the actual diodes red in colour?

I mean, without the coloured lens.
I have some clear tails that would look awesome with LED's

Funkgab: I said it depends on how you wire them up. The bottom row of lights are partitioned into 3 sections just like stock lights and each section is designated to a certain wire. Depending on how you wire them, they will light up however you want. The picture you posted is likely what the lights look like under braking, not running. You coul make them light up just as the ones in your video if you are so inclined. I will not hold them if someone else has cash, but I've had no other offers.

190e: I never thought to check that! I'll get right on it. Hopefully I'll have an answer in a couple days for ya.

Got it! The LED diodes themselves light up RED. Does that influence your purchase?
