Opinions needed, please.

Hey everyone,

As you know, my car is up for sale. Unfortunately, the EvoII's on it are doing jack **** for the resale value.

So I've been trying to find a local deal to benefit me and someone who would appreciate them, but so far, no such luck.

One sale fell through due to lugnut size. His MB lugnuts won't fit in the EvoII's.

Anyway, as I was going to work today, I had an epiphany:

That's my mom's CLK500. Car's an AMG of some sorts, as it has special touches here and there. Anyway, I've been thinking... how would the Evo's look on it? Anyone up for some photoshopping?

I'll take her rims, sell them on my car. And she'll get to keep some truly new and awesome looking Evo's with AMAZING tires. And my car won't lose any of its resale value. Looks like a win/win to me.

Great idea. Do it

Don't love the w209 as much as the w208, but that is one nice car

Throw some stock wheels back on and keep both, 2 sets of cool wheels are better than one... tho if you're not into hoarding, i'd say selling whichever set separate of the car should hook you more mulah.

It's QUITE fast. I'll take a video of this for ya, Sai.

The 7 speed wakes it right up. I've taken it drag racing a few times, wiped the floor with a 6 speed Z, lightly modified S2000, but lost to a severely lightened E34 M5.

If you have the original wheels, remount them back on the car, sell the car, and then sell the Evos separately. Their value is higher selling them alone than on the car.

You can even list the sale of the wheels with the car; some thing like $500 for four Evo wheels, $400 if you buy them with the car.

The problem is, I don't have the original stockies anymore.

The EvoII's fit on my mom's CLK, but they honestly didn't look that good. And they needed spacers.

I switched over the tires, though.. My car has some of the best tires money can buy, and they're fresh. Been driving the CLK for the last hour.. What a car.

I'd find a cheap set of stockers, and place the evos on long term for-sale status. SOMEone will want them and pay real value. No chance you recoup much in sale of car.

I've been trying to do that. Believe it or not, I haven't found a reasonably priced stockies setup for my car.

I parked the Benz in a much more traffic friendly location, as my regular commute wasn't really consumer friendly. :P

I just wish shipping from Beirut wasn't so bad. I'd sell my EvoII's for 500$ if someone on this forum wants them, but is in the mood to pay for shipping.

I want to see those EvoIIs on your CLK.

What is the shipping exactly to 14586?
