Another damned electrical gremlin

So turns out when i put my windows down, i guess it drains alot of power, i know in the sedan it drained more than the radio, and i had an aftermarket..
my interior lights/cluster lights all dim.. is that an alternator or something like a rheostat?

just wondering, as i was planning on going with some aftermarket sound after i work out things..

might also be that stupid cheap autozone battery the car came with

thanks guys

Window motors make my lights dim too, and I'm on a 150A alternator :P

I believe AMGDave has some good writeups about the benefits of fitting larger gauge electrical wires and a new block for the wires. I've not done it yet, I was going to save that for when I install my rally light setup :P

my sedan did too, till i swapped out the alternator with an e320
funniest thing is the battery died, id jump it, even the radio would turn on, subs would torn on, someone touches a window, car would die

i've tried bigger gauge wires some what, i didn't do all of em, but i did do the battery and my amp :p

it did draw more power to the amp, although all the audio shops thought i was crazy when i wanted to upgrade all my electric wires to 0 gauge

your lucky to have a dad who knows mercedes though
