4matic failure, and no lamps/fault codes

4matic failure, and no lamps/fault codes
I have a 1988 300E 4matic
The 4matic does not work, but theres NO lamps or fault codes. And yes, the lamps work. The car will spin on one rear wheel if its slippery. No flashing triangle, no nothing. The car thinks its rear wheel drive only.
The ABS works fine. I lifted the car and put it in D and both rear wheels were turning. The front wheels, and the axle to the front diff was not moving.
Things I have already fixed:
-ABS lamp on --> Replaced front left ABS-sensor
-4matic lamp on --> 10 flashes --> replaced brake pedal switch and OVP relay
-4matic lamp on --> 9 flashes --> replaced OVP relay (This has happened three times)
Anybody have a clue whats wrong?
