300e 1989 Ignition Issue
I would appreciate someone's help in figuring an ignition issue I have with my 1989 300e.
Originally it started taking 5-6 tries to start the engine (cold) and no issues once the engine was warm. Changed the pressure regulator and it starts great in cold (although it starts slow until it warms up a little and then is all right, but its a pain to start once the engine is warm. Especially after about an hour or so after turning the engine off. Before an hour, the engine starts great, but after it takes about 6-7 tries to get it going.
Any ideas?

You need to check lamda mixture setting , and or check for fuel leaks , any leaks internal = ie fuel injector seeping, fuel distributor leaking , needs to be checked, , need to verify eha is working when hot , fuel testing gauge will be necc, and lambda meter necc , the system is basic, even if yoy disconnected computor the engine will run and start hot , prbably hard to start cold, but the idea is its a simple system
