W126 420SE & W124 260E
1 owner W124 260e with only 47k!!

Hi guys, I already have a W126 420SE and I've just sold my 1985 Porsche 924S to buy a one owner W124 260E in black, with only 47,000 miles on the clock and comprehensive Mercedes and specialist history. The car literally drives like new without so much as a squeak! This is my first W124 and I am very, very pleased with it.
I know my 420SE has 155k on the clock, but the ride quality of the W124 is as good as, if not superior, to that of the 420. It requires a little cosmetic paintwork (being black!) to remove a few light scratches, and my initial intention was to undertake this work and sell the car on, but having driven it I just couldn't see myself parting with this truly superb car. The straight six sounds wonderful!
I've attached a couple of photo's here, and as I clean the car thoroughly over the next couple of weeks I'll post some more.
Cheers guys!

Fine piece of machinery you have there. I have the same color. Can't wait to get my dings and scratches off of mine as well. Enjoy the ride

It's just the cross to bear with a black car! But don't you just want it to be perfect? Will cost me £600 to get it straight, which is fair for some light cosmetic paintwork. Worth it when the car is mechanically A1.

Exactly! Initially I planned to polish it to death and sell it for a handsome profit, but you know what, its the best car I've ever had - even surpasses the 420SE W126. And like you I will never sell it. How could I replace it??
