1994 Mercedes Benz E320
![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
My 1994 E320 was parked for approx. 5-6 mos.. took it to a shop and had several things replaced .....Four days after driving it again , the reverse gear ceased to work as the car stayed in park....could hear the engine shift to reverse and the reverse lamps come on....could a trans. filter being clogged possibly be the problem....not big on having to do a rebuilt trans. at this time....

That's not an uncommon problem, and is usually a first sign of transmission work in the future.
if others experiences are anything to go by, you might be able to drive it for a few years before you have to remove and repair the transmission. You aren't going to be able to reverse, or course, so that is going to need some forethought when you park.
