A/C Dead
The A/C on my system is currently nonoperational but as I am new to W124s I am looking for some firsthand knowledge of what's going on. If you'd be so kind, consider reading the few symptoms I have to address:
1. Compressor does not engage- I am aware it won't if there is no freon in the system and I can only assume there isn't any.
2. Not sure if my aux fan is working. If I am parked at idle for 15+ mnutes the temp will start rising quite significantly. Not sure if this is normal or has to do with aux fan and I am not sure if the aux fan is associated with proper A/C system functioning.
3. Not sure if I can fill this system (When I get it working) with R134A considering it is an R12 system.
So, basically, I am not sure if I have to do a freon refill or have to endure the lovely dash dismantling to reach condensor. Either way, I'lll do what it takes.
Any insights and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
