Help with rim department?

I had an old set of 19" LM1 lorinser wheels from an old 93 S-class mercedes that I owned years ago. I tried to put them on my cabrio and car could barely move afterwards, the rears also stick out a little to much in my opinion. Is this a familiar problem or should I just get some different wheels?

Heavy wheels will make an incredible difference in acceleration with a lower powered vehicle. Even my 500E lost an entire 2 tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile with my 19" Carlsson VS my 17" OZ wheels. There are plenty of lightweight 19" wheels out there if you want to run them, but the Lorinsers are definitely not one of them.

If you would like to bring them in towards the car, shaving the hub of the wheel is an option. However, it can be expensive and even dangerous if more than 2-4mm are shaved, which isn't even a big noticeable difference usually. Best option: pick another set of wheels or try to convince yourself you like the ones you have

Get different wheels

If you want to see what were (and now are) the factory options for your car read on.

This helped me visualize rather quickly exactly what you need to know if you are trying to stay factory accurate. And fit.

Yeah I LOVED my Carlsson 1/6, but I made the decision to let them go for something that would make my car faster and give better MPG.

lots of cars
19" wheels weigh around 30-35lbs depending on the brand, I wouldn't recommend them on a w124 with a Inline 6. Those LM1s are probably staggered too, that's why they didn't fit. What are the specs on the wheels?

19/9 front 19/19.5 rear, but your right. I'm going 17" classic mono blocks instead
