Can I mount a Becker Silverstone in my 93 300TE?

Hi!

A friend of mine has a 10-disc Becker Silverstone CD-changer lying around. Does anyone on the forum know if I can mount it, without too many complications, in my 1993 MB 300TE? If not, which original or aftermarket changer would be most suitable?

Thank you in advance,

Jorgen

Yes, its quite easy to put it in there...probably easier than an aftermarket one IMO.

Yes

We have a Becker Silverstone 10 disc changer in our '90 300TE. The head unit in ours is a Becker Grand Prix 2140. The only issue with the wagon is where to locate the disc changer. Some mount them behind the rear (2nd row) seats but this gets in the way when the seats are folded flat. Ours is mounted on the right hand side to the hinged panel that covers the first-aid kit, safety triangle and jack. The whole unit is enclosed in a carpeted box (with hinged cover for access) that matches the interior perfectly. It does not intrude into the load space any more than the wheel arch.
