blower motor (fan)inop.
1990 300E automatic.
driving car on a hot day the a/c on, fan was blowing cold air, I suddenly noticed warm air coming and I happened to jiggle the ignition key and the a/c went to blowing cold air again. Next trip I noticed no fan motor at all. I installed a good known push button control unit, no luck. Car has now sat for 2 years and I am ready to attack it. Today I checked the 30 amp fuse by the brake master and it has power on both terminals. I also checked for and got power from the red wire that is part of a 3 wire plug on the firewall near the master cyl.
I have the instrument panel out and cannot find any loose connections (grounds)
I need to know how I can eliminate all possibilities prior to pulling the blower motor.
A wiring diagram would also be helpful.
I do not know the names and or locations of components, I sure would appreciate access to some free service manuals.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Any threads w/pictures would be helpful in troubleshooting and possibly showing how to pull the blower motor if in fact that is where I am headed.

If you jiggle the ignition key and the climate control comes on, I suspect the ignition switch is failing.
Not terribly unusual, but not the most common issue.
