400E Slow Start
Any ideas as to what would be the culprit of a slow cold start on a 92 400E? It takes 5-6 seconds to start for the first time of the day, but after it's started once it does fine. It idles and runs perfect just seems like it takes forever to start when it has sit for more than 7 hours or so. Any help is appreciated.

It really depends on where you live. I always have cold start on my '88 TE when the weather goes below 40-50 degrees and oil becomes thicker when its sitting in the cold. I usually remedy this by turning hte ignition to on for like 3-4 seconds, turn it off then start it and let it idle for few minutes before pulling out.

Hmm.. sounds like an electrical issue. could be anywhere from a poor ground, loose connections or bad wiring.
did you have the 400E tuned up recently? spark plug/wire replaced n etc?

About 10,xxx miles ago or so. It's strange though that it only does it after sitting for a while (8+ hours) it's almost like it's losing line pressure. No starting problems at all after the first start until it sits for a while again.
