Urgent! Please Help - Question About Hitch On 300e

Hi,

I have a 1991 300E and am moving from Dallas to NY .....

I don't have a hitch on the car ..... Can I get a hitch installed on my car? If so, any recommendation on where to get it installed and how much it might cost (approx.).

I'm planning on towing a 5 ft x 8 ft U-haul trailer.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Bobby

Drawtite hitch for your Benz

http://www.drawtite-hitches.com/hitch_selector_auto.htm

I have a Class I hitch from Drawtite. I only use it for a bicycle rack, but it seems like a good hitch. For installation, I had to use large nuts for spacers to move the hitch slightly below the rear body molding. Then when I I hit bumps the exhaust would bump the hitch, so I cut just a bit off of the end of the hitch so it wouldn’t bang the exhaust. My 1995 E320 has slightly lower molding on the rear bumper that hides things under the car and I think the hitch was designed for earlier models. You may not need spacers on your 1991.
