2011 E350 4Matic Estate in Mystic Red
W124 price
Hi,
I have recently become the owner of a very clean and original W124 1987 260 with no rust and no apparent mechanical faults. Interior is literally spotless (MB tex), only thing is that the previous owner was a smoker. It has around 150,000 km (=93,000 miles) and one owner (listed as two since the first was part of the same family).
While the car is really built like a tank (I can see why taxi drivers loved them), I just don't enjoy driving it. My other car is a new S212, so I don't see myself driving the W124. But even then, I can see the difference - the W212 is much more fragile and would not stand to the wear and tear of the W124. The W212 would never last 26 years with all that flimsy exterior plastic...
My question is how much can I expect to off-load this for (in Canada), and where would the best place be to advertise it? Ideally I would want the car to go to someone who would take care of it and appreciates the older Mercs (an enthusiast), rather than someone who would use it as a beater and wreck it. Comments and suggestions welcomed.
