95 E320 Neutral Safety Switch Problems

95 E320 Neutral Safety Switch Problems
I'm trying to R+R the neutral safey switch on my 95 E320. I'm having trouble getting the old one unistalled. Anyone have experience with this?

I have the plug off of the switch. The trouble is getting the clamp off of the shaft.................. so that I can get to the 2 small bolts holding switch to the side of the transmission.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mark,

You have to take the bolt all the way out of the clamp, not just loosen it. It is a pin lock for the shifter shaft.
