Yet another wheel size fitment question
Looking to maybe installing some W220 wheels onto my 94 coupe, below is chart comparing my stock wheels with those of the S class. Can anyone shed some light as to whether or not they will fit without modifying or damaging my sheet metal? Many thanks.

Good news bought the wheels and fitment is great. Unfortunately the tires that came with them are a bad fit in front. So I will need to buy smaller tires to get it all set properly. I am thinking 215 45 R17, as the widest rubber I can get there without rubbing. Right now it is barely touching the shock, but most seriously is that on any bump it will hit the inside edge of the side molding....which removed its paint :-(

Are they 7.5 all round ???
You could look at a lower profile tyre - those 55's are pretty darn big.
I ran 225/45 at the front and 245/40 at the rear on staggered 7.7/8.5 configuration.
Howevere the ET was 35 at the front and 30 at the rear !
Those things you have bought are way out near the rim with such a high ET.
The best way is go to a good tyre shop and ask them to try each size and see what clearances you have.
