Another W124 E320 starting problem
1995 E320 (rare Sportline) was running fine...had the 2 main common problems with this car - wiring harness and minor head gasket leakage.
Starting having intermittent starting problems that steadily got wors
Figured wiring harness would do the trick so I installed an updated one.
Car starts and will re-start within a few minutes of turning it off, but if you wait an hour, it just cranks, but does not start.
Codes show Segment Ref sensor which I am sure is the CPS. If you reset codes, car will start right up with same symptoms.
Replaced CPS AND main computer and still the same. When car is running, it runs fine...not rough and rare missing.
Any clues anyone?
