1987 Mercedes Benz E300
Unhappy Is my problem related to the Neutral Safety Switch??

I currently drive a 1987 Mercedes Benz E 300 with an Automatic Transmission. Today as I was driving to work the car start up okay, I drove off to work okay, until about 5 minutes later when after I came to a stop and applied the gas the car sputtered and shut down. Lately, I have been starting the car in neutral as for whatever reason it won't start in Park all the time. If it is the Neutral Safety Switch for this car does anyone know the CORRECT part number for the car and where is this part located on the transmission?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No start in P but yes start in N, sounds like a neutral switch. It's on the side of the transmission where the shifter rod goes in, I believe, on passenger side. Part #, google.

Btw, it's unrelated to the stalling.
