How do I remove knob in consolle?
I wonder how I could remove the thing that I've circled in red (in the picture below). My w124 isn't as new as the one in the picture, it's actually from 87. Is it still the same procedure? I need to remove it cause the light in the left (whatever it's called in enlgish...) is not working.

Generally you just have to pull the knobs off. Often its quite hard to get them off. In this case take pliers and cover them with soft cloth (not to damage the knob) and pull. The bulb is a miniature bulb of 1,2 Watt. Dont replace it by a bulb of higher Watts since it is getting to hot and also may screw up the function of the instrument light controls.
