1993 300d 2.5 turbo diesel extremely sluggish

1993 300d 2.5 turbo diesel extremely sluggish

I drive a 1993 300d 2.5 turbo diesel but im tired of it being so sluggish. The car currently has 311,000 miles on it. The interior is in perfect condition, there is no smoke coming out the back, and the engine sounds healthy. Though this car is running extremely sluggish idk if the cause is just the mileage it has on it. Ive changed motor mounts and all the filters so far but ive heard wonders of what diesel purge can do. Any advice on getting this car back to par? its 0-60 time is dead pretty much non existent
I want to work on the cars engine before i go for interior modifications like changing the speakers and subs
