Looking for Mercedes audio system

I'm looking for some good recommendations for an audio system for my car. I do not want to change the internal speakers. I have an existing changer in the trunk. I just want to change the stereo unit. Suggestions are welcomed.

If you do not wish to disturb the vehicles existing wiring, there is really only one choice, Becker. They are OEM for MB and plug right into the existing harness. They do not produce the greatest sound, but do fit in with the dash design of these cars. Their latest model, BE-4602, is a step forward for them, providing an AM/FM/CD head unit which has a nice clean look and retains the speed sensitive volume control circuit (your car may not have this).

If you do not mind running new wires for your sound system, you will get your best sound. Replacing your current head unit with an Alpine, Kenwood eXcelon or Namamichi, accompanied by amps and speakers will yield a vast improvement in overall sound quality.
