Question MY new E320 Wagon

i just bought a 94 e320 wagon. i have a few questions:

Is there a switch that locks the doors?

I think the right side speakers are blown, how do I repalce them or access them without breaking anything-especially the ones in the dash area.

thanks in advance

For all doors to lock just push down the driver side door lock when the car is on, all the other doors will lock. Try a search for the speaker.

If you ever have a question like that, just think "German".

Door locks work as such:

You can lock or unlock all doors and tailgate/trunk(boot cap'n) by using the key in the driver's door, passenger's door or tailgate/trunk lock. You can also do the same by raising/lowering the lock knob on the driver's door or passenger's door, although the driver's door must be closed to do this.

Speakers in the dash are fairly easy to get to, but if your car has seen a lot of hot weather or sunlight on the dash, you are likely to break the small plastic trim piece covering the screws for the speaker grille, usually less than $8 for the pair. Be careful not to mar the dash when you are prying these little things out.

Temp display blackout is VERY common on these cars, you likely need the display unit itself. The problem here is cost, for what it costs to replace with a new unit you could buy an autodimming aftermarket mirror with the temp function built in. The display units run $300+ at the dealer. If you can tolerate a little risk, you can usually find one on eBay for around $60, just make sure it is the correct part (000 542 71 27 for Celsius and 000 542 72 27 for Fahrenheit).

Congrats on your new Benz! The TE is one of my favorite body styles.

This is also a pretty common repair. The track inside of the seat back that moves the headrest up/down breaks. This is usually about a $20 part and takes about 30min to replace. You have to remove the seatback, two-screws at the bottom and the rest of it wedges into place.

Excellent choice!

What color combo is it? How many miles are on it? Any modifications?

I love wagons.

its! dope. 1994 with 44,100 original miles. sat in a grage in Miami and wasn't even driven for the last 3 years of ownership before it was sold to me. Brilliant silver with grey interior-very sweet ride. I sold my 97 C230 to buy this and i was apprehensive about that because i thought i knew something about Benz cars. Boy was i wrong!! honestly, my C class was really crap when compared to this car. i can't say enough about it. The first thing i did with it was take it on the highway and drove 1000 miles from florida to NY to "get acquainted" all i can say is that the car is pure!!!
