Wheel options

I have a 1994 E320 with stock 15" wheels that I would like to change to 16". I would also like to stay with OEM Benz wheels. Would any of the newer 16" wheels from a C or E class fit my car? I like the 16" 2003 C-class wheels that I see on Ebay - would these fit? Thanks

I think the 16" 8-hole replicas from Tire Rack look the best on a W124.

Second would be those 5-hole 16" wheels from the E420 V8 W210s. They do fit on the W124.

I really want to get 17" AMGs as they look awesome but ... the roads here are terrible and it's nice to ride in the E420 now because it's pretty damn comfy. Firm but very compliant.
I don't really want to upset the ride...

If I didn't have the machine-finish 8-hole 15" wheels and four new Michelin MXV4+ tires from the dealer, I would have bought 16" replicas from Tire Rack.

AT italia type 8 from tire rack. 16x8, about 125 each.

thats my vote. thats what i will probably go with when i upgrade my wheels. my tire of choice would be the michelin mxv4plus 215/55-16. about 135 each (installed) at costco and right now theres a coupon for $60 off the set.

Thanks for the info. I have been looking at those, but was hoping to pick up something used since my wife doesn't see any need to switch from the little 15 inchers. Does anyone happen to know if the newer C-class wheels 16x7, 35mm offset will fit a 94 E320?

I was going to get 15" MB Original used wheels for my W123 Coupe too but I ended up buying the replicas from tirerack as I figured that I'd be getting new wheels. I never regretted it.

The other tires you should check out are the Bridgestone Turanza LS-H or LS-V.

Those C-Class wheels will fit btw, but some of them look really funny

How about the wheels I have, off of a CLK? 16" and OEM.
EDIT** You have to use CLK wheel studs with these wheels**

They should fit, a friend of mine bought my 7,5x17" AMG II (ET 35) replicas for his '94 E420.
They rub a little bit on the front wheels but with 215/45 tires instead of the 225/45's they should fit nicely.
They sell for $300-400 per set on www.ebay.de

Thanks, if I understand correctly the '94 E420 has a little different offset from the E320 - is that correct? Thanks for the offer on the CLK wheels but I was looking at a set of the sport 8-spokes from a C320.

Yeah not much room for big wheels on the standard W124, ET 37-41 is recommended (depends on the size)

L8APX,

I have those same wheels but need to get new lug bolts since my current ones won't work. Can you describe yours to me?

Not sure which wheels you are referring to - the 8-spoke C320's?
