Weird noise when car starts

Mercedes 1993 300 TD Wagon
Weird noise when car starts
Hi,

I seem to have a problem with my W124 300D wagon. When I start the car, a weird screeching noise seems to come from the ventilation system on the passenger side. Before it used to last about 2 minutes and go off, but today it just kept on going until I turned the car off. Here is a sound clip of the noise:

Mercedes 1993 300 TD Wagon
I'd does the noise regardless of the ac being on or off...
