W124 103 to 104 engine swap

Hi...I want to swap the 103 engine in a 1990 300E with a 1994 E320 engine, the 104. Is this a HUGE job? What else needs to be replaced to swap engines and make the car run ? Will the transmission line up...etc? Thanks

I don't think that it would be a very huge job, I mean you will be replacing an engine, keep that in mind.

Everything should line up (mounts, trans, etc.) but you will need the computer and whatever else cahnged

See sig.
From what I've gathered, the mechanical portion of the job is fairly straightforward. The biggest issue would be with electrical wiring, since none of the wiring harnesses will match up. Just remember to get a complete engine, w/ all the computers needed. Will you be changing the tranny too? Newer ones start in 1st

You will most likely need a new wiring harness.
