I need to replace the shock/damper for my accessory belt. How do you get at the lower bolt? Its an 86 300E.

Best is to bring it to a shop. You need to take off the fan cawl and for better access the radiator. I once did this w/o taking the radiator out and it took me some self made tools and 4 weeks to heel my knockles of my hands.
