17" wheel questions....

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, and new to Mercedes' cars.

The car currently is running 55 aspect tires on a 15" wheel, and the new wheels have 40 aspect tires on a 17" wheel (from my VW) so will it look alright? Does anyone have pictures by any chance? I'm assuming I should be running 45 aspect to preserve rotating diameter, but I don't care so much about my dashboard instruments being 100% accurate, I'm more concerned that it will look awkward.

Secondly, the wheel will have an offset of 25et (after adapters). I've been told the stock wheels have 35et offset, will the new offset be acceptable to drive on? (The car is not lowered).

Thanks for your help, sorry for the seemingly inane questions.

Lower than ET35 is not recommended, 7,5x17" with 225/45 rubs when driving like our stars the way they are made to.....

ET25 will totally be outside the fender

Thanks. I realized that the stock tires are 205/65/15, so 205/40/17 would probably look ridiculous anyway.
