W124 sunroof
Hi everyone,
I am considering buying a 1996 W124 E320 here in South Africa. It is an immaculate car, stock standard. However, it does not have a sunroof. Is it possible to fit a factory suroof, or are there suitable aftermarket options? Our local sunroof experts are Webasto (www.webasto.co.za) and their online roof configurator says that they do not have a solution for the W124.

I do not recommend you retrofit a sunroof to a 21 year-old car, particularly if the car is, as you say, immaculate. You can easily find used parts from the breakyard. The motor cable and wiring run to the rear of the car and you have to cut a big hole in your roof and wish you seal it well or else it will be your future headache.
