Bouncy speedo needle

Guys I just recently removed my odometer to fix it and I managed to get the gears working and now I can track mileage, but now my speedo needle bounces/vibrates on deceleration. What do I need to check?

Check the junk yards for a new used cluster! However make sure the part numbers are the same!

The meters inside the instrument cluster are very sensitive equipment working with high precision. If you disturbed any of the needles like taking it off and then back it may lose accuracy, or behaves in the ways you described. Good used, instrument clusters are plenty in supply but as Plutoe said you need to find an exact match so do not just look at the value on the dial face (Max 240, 260 Km/h; RPM Max at 7K or 8K). You should match model year or differential ratio (3.07; 3.27, 3.46, etc.), also there is a label on the instrument cluster like "K=XXXX".
