Strange Sunroof Problem . . .
My sunroof is broken!
It will open all the way, but when I push up on the button to just pop the roof in the back, nothing hapens.
Is this common? Does anyone know what to do or what the problem could be?

Sunroof problems appear to be common. Maybe the car was not taken care of before you purchased it.
The gears in the motor box might strip when trying to turn a stuck cable. The cable sticks as a result of the sliding roof being restricted along its path.

If it slides back but won't lift up sounds like a faulty switch.
If you can take out the switch and clean the contacts. I had a problem lowering the rear windows from the centre console switch, took it out cleaned it and hey presto!

It's possibly the switch but far more likely a stripped cable or motor gears. The cable is fairly cheap, the motor isn't!
