Conversion from a 1990 300te 4 matic engine to a e280(masterpiece) engine
Hi, has anyone ever done this before? Im having problems with my current 300 te 4matic engine, parts are very difficult to fine and it cost a bomb here in malaysia. I was toying with the idea of conversion and was wondering if anyone has ever attempted this conversion?

hi anwar,
am a newbie who has just got my 300te out of the workshop.One of my sparepart contacts suggests to buy half cut 300e[there are many available]and switch engines.[am not sure whether this can be done ].but he says then all the parts will be cheaper as the w124 parts other then the te are available in malaysia.[cheap2]
do keep in touch as i am sure we have many common problems we can trade info.tq.
