Tinted Windows

After the tint job the car looked pretty nasty from all the acid rain, etc. that was over Boston since Sunday...
today was decent so I went to wash it. I also bought some Meguiars NXT.. I can't wait to try that stuff out.

Just light 50% 3M Tint all around. It's just nice during the day. Not the kind of tint I'm used to though..
I tried to look for V-Kool or Huperoptik (V-Kool's OEM apparently?), which is what I'm used to from back home... no luck though.
To those who have never heard of V-Kool

check out the specs on their auto tint (especially the heat rejection part)

The tint looks good, just think it could be darker

The back window tint is 35% (The legal limit) but the other windows are 50%.... as you can see in this picture, it's really not that dark.

and at night it takes care of the glare problem from those SUVs or cars with retrofit HID lighting...

If I had a silver car, I'd probably do a silverish (platinum) tint, not a reflective one .. but not a black one either
If I were to do my tint again, I'd do 35% all around and keep it legal but my friend who has 35% just on his back windshield (like me) thinks it's hard to drive at night ( he drives on dark roads without any street lighting at times ).
I drive in the city most of the time so I think 35% all around would've been fine.
btw, if you want high performance (not just looks) tint.. check this out - the heat rejection is amazing.

I called them up and I think they have a certified installer in Georgia. I would've done V-Kool if I had found a retailer here.
Huperoptik is also really good...

my 3M tint works fine but it's nowhere near as amazing as V-Kool (used V-Kool back home - 90*F, 90% humidity, stop&go traffic, 96 E320, ac fan was always on low settings)
