Sup, my first post

Whats up everyone, this is my first post and i would like to say that this forum is great, i just recently bought a 1991 300E 4Matic from my cousin for 4.3k with only 79k miles on it. Planning on getting some 17 inch rims but was wondering wut does it mean by the "offset" of the wheels...iread and heard about it alot but couldnt figure it out...any help would be appriciated, thnx!

here are some pictures...

im planning on getting it to look like this...but i wont be able to lower it like i did in this photoshopped picture...

Any other suggestions on what i can mod on my car???

Nice Car

Well, if you want to mod anything else, i suggest the stereo.
If your into visual things you can change your grill, headlights, black out/ clear out your tailights, many things.
Congrats on your purchase. I believe offset has to be +38 if I remember correctly.

why would you put big wheels on a 4-matic? it's only going to hurt your performance in the snow...unless you're in FLA/CA and don't need the awd...but if ur in FLA/CA, trade cars with me cuz i been looking for a 124 4matic FOREVER in these cold new england winters . . .

Enzo, my Benzo
With the inability to lower 4-Matics, putting big wheels will look goofy as the car will sit higher up and the wheel gap will be more pronounced. With regard to winter, nevermind what these people are saying: buy a set of bigger wheels if you really want and keep the factory 15's for the snowy season....I have 17" AMG's for winter and 18's for summer up here in Calgary Canada and they work just fine.

As for other mods, painting the side cladding to match the black of the body really cleans things up and makes it look more modern...

Good luck and congrats on the new to you Benzo...
