Are these wheels rare/valuable in the States?

I just bought a set of these wheels that I have never seen before. 15" and according to the seller, they came out of his old W124. I am wondering how rare these are in the States? Have any of you seen these before? Any information would be helpful! Sorry for this bad pic...

The first 3 digits in the part number on the inside of the rim will tell you what chassis the rim was intended for, most of the time.

I doubt these were from a W124 from the factory, but maybe they were an optional wheel in Europe. No W124 in the USA came with these....

Appears to be aftermarket wheels. I've been looking at Mercedes wheels for many years, and have never seen these before in any picture, and certainly not in a Mercedes catalog.

Wheels can be very subjective, and I've found that my taste in wheels has changed quite a bit since I started driving older Mercedes over 10 years ago.

I prefer 16" or 17" wheels on 124's to begin with, and the style of these wheels has no appeal to me at all, the std 8 holes wheels on later model 124's look better.

But again, only a personal opinion, if you like them, enjoy.

PS: One important point when buying used wheels, never believe a wheel is a proper fit, just because someone tells you "they came off a 124".
However true coming off a 124 is, that does not mean they are really 124 wheels, or that they fitted properly at all.
The only way to know if wheels fit a car, is to know the cars fitment range, and know exactly what the measurements of the wheels in question are.
Example; for "Most" 124's the front wheels should not be wider than 7.5 inches, the rears 8.5 max.
Then the ET of these wheels needs to be in a tight range to fit properly. ET is short for "Offset", which places the wheel in the center of the wheel well.
Proper ET is the relationship of the wheel hubs to the wheels wells, and they are different from model to model, with some similar, and some not even close.
Typical ET's for a 124 should range mid-30's to mid 40's, high 30's are close to ideal, and it's a total combination of wheel size and tire size as a package.
Mercedes models with similar ETs to a 124 are 210's, SLK's, Clk's, other C class cars, opens up a wide variety of wheels that will fit a 124.
You can't put true SL or 126 wheels on a 124, the ET to too low and the wheels may stick outside the fenders, (exaggeration, but you get the point) .
At the other end of the spectrum, you can't put S class or ML wheels on a 124 either, the ET will be far too high, upper 40's to 50's, and rub the insides of the fenders or suspension.
So the wheels you are looking at, how wide are they, and what are their ET's? They should be marked on the wheel somewhere, usually on the back side. Also, since these are not factory Mercedes wheels, the lug bolt seats are probably cone, not ball as all factory Mercedes wheels are. You may need to buy new lug bolts with cone seats.
Also, true factory 124 wheel, normally has the first 3 digits of the part number as "124xxxxxxx".
The perfect (for me), wheel for a non-500E 124, is a Aero I monoblock, sized at 7.5 x 16 et40, a great all around combination of old skool look and still a good ride.
A nicer look are 17" monoblock wheels like the SLK 5 spokes Mono I's, or the CLK's 5 hole Mono II's, sized at 7.5x17et37(or 35) Fronts and 8.5x17et30 rears.
So go look for the 3 sizes, width, diameter and ET, that is the only way to know if they will fit right, (before you buy).
Here is a rough guide for a 124 15" wheel, 6 to 7.5" wide with an ET of 35mm to 44mm.
Here is a link to wheel/tire sizes comparisons
http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp
Plug stock wheel-tire sizes into the left side, then plug what your new wheels are on the right side and you'll get a report that shows compatibility(or not)
Start with the normal stock Mercedes 124 wheel-tire size, 195/65 tire on a 6.5 wide rim with et44, then plug in what your wheels sizes are with tires sizes you think match.
the end result should be a tire/wheel combo that does not rub anywhere, and maintains a 25" tire diameter(for a 124),
keeping the 25" diameter for a 124 will keep your speedometer and odometer reading correctly
and here is a link to wheels-tire sizes on all the different models

good luck..

This is an original rim from MB

Abit late to the party, but adding it nonetheless if anyone else should stumble upon this post.

My father had these on his '86 w124 260 and it is an original rim from Mercedes. In my opinion, they look really good on the car but they seem exceedingly rare as I cant really find any pictures of them on a car online. They are in
the originale brochure though as seen here http://www.w124performance.com/image...heel_chart.jpg.
