1988 Mercedes-Benz E200 W124
Considering Purchasing my first MB, need advice.
I am concidering purchasing a 88 MB E200 W124 that is currently sitting due to problems with stalling out on the road.
Upon googling the issue i saw that this problem is common with these amd the issue has been successfully resolved by replacing the ECU, Air Filter, and/or OVP.
Obviously there are several things that could cause the stalling out, but i just wanted to ask the forum what would be a good course of action, this being my first MB and to reduce the chance of making errors in approaching the issue.
Milage is 237K, condition of car is excellent. Garaged for 3 years since issue occured. Oil is excellent, car runs smooth..purrs. No other known issuea, it just became unreliable because it would stall out.
