Monowiper Overtravel
I'm having an issue with my monowiper on my '94 E320. Awhile back, I went in and changed out my blower motor resistor, and had to take out the monowiper assembly to get at it. What seemed like a short time after, my monowiper seemed to get out of alignment.
Now, the tip of the wiper overtravels on the driver side, to the point where it taps the edge of the hood on every cycle. The travel on the passenger side seems comparatively higher, but isn't causing any immediate issues. The extension of the wiper seems to be functioning normally, and I'm using a Bosch Icon 24A blade.
I've tried loosening the bolts on the wiper assembly and biasing it towards the passenger side, but to no avail. Everything seems to be working fine except this inch or so of overtravel.
Anyone have any idea of what could be causing the overtravel? Is there any internal adjustment available for the wiper travel?
Thanks in advance!
