Having look at various threads on mono valves I still am wondering why the mono valve on my car is different.
The heating has never work and finally I decided to have a go at fixing it. The auxiliary water pump is fine but the seals inside the valve are very corroded. But there is a strange piece of white plastic in the valve which doesn't allow the valve to move. and the valve head is also facing the opposite way to all the other mono valves I have seen.
The valve could be different due to being replaced or possibly even a production change at the factory. The white piece of plastic I see in the picture looks like a check valve to allow the water to only move in one direction. Besides cleaning it up and replacing the seals, I would ensure that direction of the water flow through the valve is correct.

Yes it's possible, but the white piece of plastic had a seal that wouldn't let it move freely, and also if I assemble it there is no space for the valve to actually operate because the white peace of plastic occupies to much space.
Also I have been unable to locate a repair kit.

I've got a euro 2.5 TD engine.
It is a monovalve with a aux circulation pump attached.
I managed to do a fix, I removed a seal on the white piece of plastic and drilled a 6mm hole with a depth of 5 mm which allows the shaft to move up and down and it works.
I got hot air, but I'm still searching for a repair kit which does seem to exist.
