W124 wheel fitment issues
Hey everyone, just looking for possible explanation/solution to an issue most are sick of hearing about. I have a 1994 E320 W124 and I just had my tire/wheel set replaced. Instead of the stock option, I chose to upgrade to a larger rim. Instead of the 15" standard, I opted for 18s. After extensive consultation with tire preofessionals, I ended up with 18X8" rims and 235/40/18 tires. Had them mounted and installed, they look great. Problem is that once i left the shop, I began hearing the scraping of the tire in the wheel well. Funny thing is that the sound emanates ONLY from the drivers side rear wheel well, primarily when turning or veering in the right direction. Its very noticeable. i am not sure why this would occur in only one wheel well and am looking for a quick and inexpensive solution to this. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

Im guessing they sold you the wheel tire combo? yes, no? or who did convince you of this 18"x 8" (no mention of ET) and 235/40 tires.
If you had a 500e, then yes (completely different quarter panel structures).
