Selling my CE
Hi guys,
I have decided to sell my beloved 1991 300CE coupe'.
I work as a MB salesman in PA, many on the board know me and have done business with me. The car was originally sold at another local dealership (MSRP $56,000). It was traded into our dealership in 1995 and was sold as a certified pre-owned (Starmarked) vehicle. I purchased the car 2 years ago when the second owners traded it with 92,000 miles. We have serviced the car since the '95 sale (about 45,000 miles) and I have all of the records and books.
The car has 107,000 miles. It is Cabernet red with Palamino interior.
It has the optional multi-contour seats. It is completely stock with the exception of a Kenwood in dash CD/receiver. I have the original Becker radio and original wheels with good Michelins. I had the 90K service performed at 97K including spark plugs, tune up, trans service and front brake pads.
This car is as perfect as a 100,000 mile car can be. It has always been garage kept. There is not a single door ding or scratch on the car. The interior is perfect including the dash pad. It runds as well as it looks
The car is for sale for $11,500 with the 7.5 X 16" wheels and 215/55/16 Yokohamas (approx 5,000 miles on them) or $11,000 even with the original wheels and tires.
E mail me for more pics or info

Sorry, the pics I took are 1.4 meg and will not load.
I will try to take some in a file size that will fit.
I'm sure someone will ask so I will be pro-active. The car is great, I love it but I am selling because I have an opportunity to buy a sweet '98 E430 sport with 3 years of Starmark warranty and as you can see from my sig there is no room in the garage for a second Benz.

Trust me Paolo, it is not an easy decision. I wanted a CE when they came out (could not afford one then). I finally got mine and have loved it for 2 years. Time to move on. Somebody buy it before I change my mind.

I may have to visit you
I am going to have to drive over to see you and maybe get a ride in your "new" 1998 E430 Sport. I am confident that I will not be tempted to trade "up" to a V8 W210, but it would be fun to see and ride in your latest MB.

Hi Ksing44, Nice to hear from you. Please stop by any time.
Chappy,
Good eyes.
When the car was sold in 91 Al Anderson hand painted the pinstripes on it. He still does any pinstriping, monograms etc. for us and is Excellent. He will pretty much paint anything you want. In our area horses, foxes etc. are popular. On the back of my car he painted an american flag on the left above the 300CE and on the right side is Dale Earnharts #3 and underneath it say's "thanks champ". As tacky as it sounds he was my only sports hero.
In the back window is a Ducati sticker.
Fear not, the paint is easily removed without damaging the finish. I have not detailed the car yet to prepare it for sale. I plan to put the car on E bay / Autotrader next week after taking advantage of this upcoming long weekend to prepare it (and remove the logo and flag).
As always, I offer it up to my friends "on the board" first.
