interior climate control fan died, 93 400e.
The fan itself has just stopped working and does not blow at all in either A/C or heat.. Before I start going through the list of troubleshooting this, is this something that happens often?
Has it happened to anyone here? I have not seen this on the other BBs.
It would be nice to defrost and defog. Other than that I could really care less about the climate control. See with climate control.. the car is comfortable, then I would have to drive it around more with people I do not like.
Any ideas?

After you've made sure the relays, switches, connections are good, Check out Mercedessource.com. They have a repair kit for the fan motor. Otherwise, you can purchase a whole new blower assembly which will be costly to install.

MBWorld Fanatic!
It is a common failure item for a W124...especially at this age.
PITA to install too...you need to take apart the wiper assembly and access it from the engine bay. I had mine done a few years back by a MB tech/friend....still was something like $800 when it was all done. One dealer quoted me well over a grand.
